Cody earned a BFA from the University of Montana. He earned his MFA degree from the University of Minnesota in 2022.
While in college he had the opportunity to take part in a month long residency at Medalta in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where he showed in the Resident exit show. Concerning Function was purchased from his BFA exhibition, in 2014, by the Montana Museum of Art and Culture. Cody attended a wood-fire residency at the Cub Creek Foundation in rural Virginia in ‘17-18, working under the guidance of John Jessiman. He finished a residency at Taos Clay Studio, in Taos, New Mexico, summer 2019. Cody’s solo exit show, Indifferent Dependency, was on view in June of 2019.
